Am. Goldfinch

I have to admit that I'm struggling so far this winter to come up with pictures for posts.  I don't have a lot of variety when it comes to winter birds and critters, so bear with me.

I do have a small flock of Am. Goldfinches that stay here year round.  Even though they do not have the bright colors they carry during the breeding season, they do add a little color with all the snow on the ground.

I love the lighting, especially on the last two.

Mine were greatly diminished last year and this year I think I only saw one or two. Global warming has kept them in the woods or further north.

They are a treat to watch no matter which color of feathers they are wearing.
