Day four and the last day of the ducks.  Today are some pictures of the Mallards.

One thing I noticed about these ducks that I've never seen before, so don't know if it's common, was that the group stayed together with the males patrolling around the outside and all the females were in the middle eating.  I'm thinking that most of the females were hatch year ducks still being protected.  That's just my guess.

Mallards and one little grebe! There are ten mallards on 'my' river but oddly 9 are males and one is a female. I don't envy her future!
