You seldom see any woodpecker resting, so when I saw this Red-bellied Woodpecker resting on a branch, I just had to shoot a few shots. Just a little rest and preening and then back to work.
Hi Richard, You used the opportunity quite well! These are nice shots. W do not have woodpecker over here but i constantly see the green woodpecker in France during my holidays. Did not get any shots yet thought!
